Scientific Forming Technologies Corporation, a world leader in the process simulation of material forming processes, has the following job positions available.

Machining Research and Applications Engineer: The successful candidate will have a MS or PhD in Engineering, with a specialty of machining. Industrial applications and analytical experience are required. The candidate will use DEFORM to simulate cutting, insert wear, tool failure, chip forming and material behavior during machining. This position will also work with existing DEFORM Users in an advisory or support role; as well as participating in our development team to ensure that DEFORM is positioned to solve problems required by our customer base and potential users. Participation in industry organizations or publications is a plus. This position requires strong oral and written communication skills.

FEM Developers: The successful candidates for the FEM development positions will posses an M.S. with five (5) years FEM programming experience or Ph.D. in Metallurgy, Material Science, Solid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Candidates should have a solid foundation in computational mechanics and be familiar with elasto-plastic and rigid plastic formulations. Experience in modeling the metal forming, heat treatment, machining or other thermo-mechanical process is a plus. 

GUI Developers: to develop FEM-based graphical user interface for material forming processes analysis.

Technical Support Specialists: SFTC is seeking candidates to provide technical support to DEFORM Users and distributors. Duties range from product testing, quality assurance, validation, troubleshooting applications, application development and training. Technical support staff regularly interacts with customers and international distributors. Multiple positions are available for:
- candidates with advanced engineering degrees (PhD preferred) and a strong FEM
background and
- candidates with applications experience, engineering degree (MS preferred) and
strong communication skills.
